Personalized Guest book with Blurb.com

A guest book is an interesting thing. A great idea for sure- remembering each person who shared such a special day with you is really a nice. But who actually reads through that list of illegible signatures? Maybe it’s just me, but it seems the world of lined paper adorned with doves and bells leaves much to be desired.

So how can your guest book become something you’ll treasure instead of just a collection of dust on top of a big, white frilly book? Blurb.com offers an easy and very affordable solution.

Their website allows you to create a custom designed, professionally bound book for prices starting at $12.95. You can choose between hard cover or paper back- the hard covers are my personal favorite because you get to design your own dust cover. It just looks so professional that I find myself creating things just to make a book out of it!

How does it work? You simply download their VERY easy to use software (for free!), then put whatever you want on each page! They have a few fun options you can use to fill the pages.

First, would be the obvious ability to go through, page by page and design every inch of the book. Their software has premade page layouts to help make this seemingly long process a breeze (for those photoshop junkies out there, you can design all your own pages in your preferred program, save them as jpegs and load them in to your book that way) .

A second option comes to those bloggers out there. It allows you to upload your blog- both writing and pictures- into their program and create your book with that content. I personally think this would be a great option for those of you keeping a personal blog during your courtship, engagement or wedding planning process.

Last of all comes the option for those of you who are REALLY in a hurry. There is even an ‘autoflow’ option that takes your photos and automatically fills them into your book. You could create a custom-made book- start to finish- in no time.

So grab those pictures you mom scanned in for your wedding video, or your engagement photos, or pictures of the two of you as you prepare for the wedding, or some pictures of your dogs or really whatever you want and make yourself something to cherish! Remember to leave plenty of room on each page for people to leave their personal message.

Blurb.com is also a great way to create a Wedding Album of the big day. Check out their website for some great examples.
