Your wedding day is YOUR day and you should get to enjoy every last detail of it- including the wedding cake! The thought of not even eating a bite of your own wedding cake is something that might not even cross the minds of most brides, but if you have Celiac decease or are gluten intolerant this little detail might be one of the hardest to get around.

Luckily with all the information coming out lately about living a gluten free life, wedding planners are beginning to have a few more gluten free wedding cake options.  I’ve done a little bit of local research for you, and here’s what I’ve found.

If you’re worried that your guests won’t enjoy a traditional cake made gluten free, consider a less traditaional cake.  Cheesecake wedding cakes or tortes made with almond flour can be delicious and beautiful and don’t stray too far from tradtion.  An icecream wedding cake would be a lot of fun for everyone to eat- you’d just have to cut it at the beginning of the reception so it wouldn’t melt!  I’ve also heard of a bride and groom ordering a traditional cake and then making matching gluten free cupcakes that were arranged on a cute stand next to the cake.
