Make Your Own Beautiful Centerpieces
JoAnn Fabric’s website has an entire section filled with free instructions on hundreds of projects- including tons of DIY wedding projects. This Elegant Orchid Arrangement really stuck out to me as something you could do easily and on a budget. Orchids are so fresh and beautiful, it’s no wonder to me why they are so popular right now. And an added bonus- there are SO many artificial versions of orchids out there right now that look so real you literally have to get up and touch them to know they’re not alive and thriving! The nature of the flower really allows artifical flower designers to create a very realisitic product! Just check out your local craft store to see some examples- in my opinion, the craft stores with the best flower selection are Michael’s and Hobby Lobby.
These flower arrangements are great because you don’t even have to buy a vase! The flowers are arranged into foam cubes (which most people would buy anyway to stick in the vase so the flowers would have something to hold them in place). The cubes are then covered in 12×12 inch scrapbooking paper! There are SO many beautiful papers available now- you could have your arrangements take on any look or color you’d like! Check Styrofoam cube prices online before heading to your local store- a lot of times you can get a lot better deal if you have the time to wait for it to be shipped to you!
