Target Wedding Collection
I remember learning about Target in my design classes when I was in college. Their goal fascinates me. If you’ve ever walked through Target and felt like it had a bit of class that other superstores seem to miss, here’s why.
They don’t just find cheap stuff to sell, they find stuff people want and find a way to sell it at an every day price. They’ve worked hard with real, big name designers to create beautiful things and then have found materials and production methods to sell those things at not big name designer prices. Their design obsession is worked into every detail of the store. In fact, I’ve actually worked for a company where we had to design two types of package for our products- one type of packaging was for their items to be displayed in Target and the other packaging was for everywhere else. The ‘everywhere else’ packaging just simply wasn’t beautiful enough for Target to allow on their shelves. Pretty interesting, huh?
