Using Your Local Grocery Store
I recently went to a wedding and was stunned by the beauty of the cake. While keeping a traditional look, the cake tied in the deep purple wedding color chosen by the bride with sweet little purple flowers all along the borders. You can imagine my surprise when I heard to ladies whispering behind me-
“You’ll never believe who made the cake!”
“Who?”
“Walmart!”
I was stunned! I had heard that Walmart made wedding cakes, but I’d never seen one. The bride was smart! While some might be slightly embarrassed to get a wedding cake at a place like Walmart- she knew that most her guests (besides the ones standing next to the two ladies talking about it!) would never guess where the cake was from. It was truly beautiful! And, while the little old women never actually mentioned the price, my guess is that- as always- Walmart found a way to keep the price pretty reasonable.
So that got me thinking- What other local grocery stores could use their bakeries and florists to supply you with some wonderful wedding necessities without charging you a specialty store price. Here’s what I found.
Walmart:
Their bakery can make 2 or 3 tier cakes or a cascading wedding cake (where the tiers are next to each other instead of on top of each other) Here’s the link for more cake information

Macey’s:
Macey’s grocery stores can take care of your cake and flowers. Here are their links for more information

Target will also make wedding cakes and Smith’s and Albertsons have both florists and bakeries and most locations. Their websites don’t have much information, so check out your local grocery story to find out more!
