I’m so excited to announce a new extension of this site! Because I spend so much time researching Utah Wedding service, I’m always getting emails from distraught brides-(or grooms)-to-be who have something in mind and can’t find it. Or who just need to find a service that can be offered in their price range.
I’m always happy to help as much as I can. The only thing I ever feel bad about is that if I return the answer in an email, only one bride gets the answer. And chances are, if it’s something that’s hard to find for one bride- there are probably a lot of you out there who are searching for just the same thing.
So I’m proud to announce the Affordable Utah Weddings Forum– a place where all you Utah brides and congregate and share your knowledge. Please feel free to ask questions, jot down a great find or just browse to get some inspiration. I’ll be checking the forum every day and answering all the questions that I can!
The forum is free to use and you can read it all without even registering. I do ask that you register to post (all you have to do is put in a screen name and an email) simply to cut back on the amount of spam that would be created if posting was allowed without registering. It is however free to register and I personally assure you that your information will not be used for anything other than allowing you to get on the site!
For those of you who are excited about this opportunity, but haven’t had much experience using a forum, I’ve provided some simple explanations to help you get started. If you have any further questions simply leave a comment on this post and I’ll be sure to get back to you ASAP.
I hope this resource helps you all to create your dream wedding on any budget!
Above is what your screen will look like when you first visit the Affordable Utah Weddings Forum. You’ll see a few helpful features including
1-A list of all the latest discussions. This will show you all the newest topics that you can help people figure out! You can also check to see if someone has responded to one of your questions. To view one of the discussions listed, simply click on the name of the topic.
2- The items located within the rectangle labed ‘2’ are links where you can either register for the first time (you have to register to post any comments or ask a question. You can read the forum without registering) or log in if you’ve already registered.
3- This includes a list of all the forums. All topics must be categorized under one of these Forums. The forum simply acts as a category name for similar topics. Click on the Forum you’re interested in to be brought to a list of the topics listed in it.
4-Once you’ve clicked on a forum, you’ll be brought to a page with a list of all the topics that have been submitted. You may click on the name of the topic to view the discussion.
Below the list of topics is an area where you may list your own topic if you don’t see it listed. Please note that you must be logged in to add a topic.
Once you click on a topic, you’ll be brought to a page that looks like this. You may read the question asked and all comments made about it.
5-To add your own comments you must sign in.
6-To sign in or register, go to the top right of the page and click on ‘Register’ or ‘Login’
An added bonus, that is not visible in this screen shot (but you will see it as soon as you are logged in) is the ability to sign up for email alerts when there is activity on a topic you are interested in. That means if you ask a question, you don’t have to keep checking back to see if anyone answered- you’ll get an email as soon as someone does. That way you can spend your time on a date with your fiance instead of checking for an answer all the time!
